My Most Wanted List of Films For 2012

Last year circa September, I’ve made a list of films I wanted to watch before the end of 2011. For some reasons I did not achieve the list. While browsing into my Archives I found it and decided to complete it and maybe add one or two titles in the way while scratching the ones I managed to watch. Those could be regarded as my most wanted list of films.

Since were at the middle of 2012 already, taking a look at what might be coming in the next weeks might seem a little bit too optimistic and I’m sure I will add many other films on this list but so far it is pretty much that.

The Servant being my most wanted film.

  1. Looks like you have a great line-up in store for October! Now I just wish that The Devils would get a proper release here in the States. Maybe someday...

    1. I'm looking forward to see if I'll be able to reach those goals!
The Devils is a hard to find feature. This is one of the reasons why it is a great investment to by a DVD/Blu-ray player without region.

  2. On your main list, Y Tu Mama Tambien is the best film among the few that I have seen. I wouldn't bother with Irreversible. The whole reason the director made the film was to see how much he could irritate the audience, not because he had a story he wanted to tell. The only reason to watch this film is if you're into irritating noises, irritating cinematography, and 10 minute long rape scenes.

In your October list, if that is 1963's The Haunting then that is a really good film. If it's the 1990s remake then I would suggest skipping it.

In your December list I've only seen A Christmas Story. It's entertaining, but don't have sky-high expectations.

    1. Thanks for bringing light onto these titles for me Chip!

I want to see Irreversible to know what the fuss is all about.

The Haunting is the 1963 version.

I want to see A Christmas Story because it is supposed to be a Holiday classic.
